I Spy in the Masjid: a masjid words game
I Spy in the Masjid is a listening and looking game: Noori asks “Can you find the minbar?” and your child taps it in a big, busy picture. Most finds are named in English and Arabic, and the Arabic word pops up in the picture.
Teacher review under way.
How to play
- 1Listen to what Noori asks for (tap the speaker to hear it again).
- 2Tap it in the picture — tapping something else just tells you what it is.
- 3Each find gets a gold star sticker.
- 4Harder levels: count things, find colours and places, and help tidy the masjid.
What your child learns
- Masjid words: mihrab, minbar, prayer mat, mushaf and more
- Listening and following instructions
- Position words (on, under, next to)
- Good manners in the masjid, told kindly
For grown-ups
Before your next masjid visit, play a round, then try to spot the mihrab and the minbar together. The words are shown in English and Arabic.
